I just wandered over to the always charming Via Lido Bookstore where the ever so helpful Dan recommended Blessed Unrest to me. It looks awesome. This book is the kind of read that will get you thinking outside of yourself in your day to day life; to really take others into consideration and how what you do can affect the world as a whole. The cover arts pretty spiffy too.

WiserEarth is the solution that Hawken proposes in this book. It is about two years old now, and contains the largest directory of NGO and social benefit organizations online.
